I downloaded free items for my sims game and can not get them into the game. Please explain at beginner level if you know how to do this. thank you

I know how to do this, but I'm not too good at explaining it...there's tutorial at The Sims Resource, or other various download sites. Just click around!

When you unzip your files, unzip them to the proper folder:

C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads -- For regular stuff like furniture
C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Skins -- clothes & heads
C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Floors -- Duh. floors.
C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Walls -- duh, walls.
