Everytime I try to go to the "Make or Select a Family" icon it automatically exits the game and brings me back to the desktop

that keeps happening to me to but its because ive downloaded a house that has a virus on (it was an accident) and it wont let me uninstall the game either. Can any1 help?

I had downloaded a couple of houses a while ago on the superstar cd but then i got the Makin Magic cd and eveerything seemed alright... until it started going straight to the desktop when i clicked "save". I told my sister's boyfriend about it and he said to uninstall everything then reinstall it back- leaving me to lose everything that i had and i really dont want to do it again- it took me an hour. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Ive fixed my problem, i finnally uninstalled my game and re-installed it back onto my pc.

Have you tryed the SimsFile Cop exe. As Iv found that If I have a bad skin file when you go into Make or Select a Family the game crashes on me. Better to run The SimsFile Cop after each download.

I have it downloaded but it still crashes. My sister says my computer is getting "overheated" from being on it so long. Maybe i already have too many downloads- but ive gotten pretty bored w/ the sims1 and am waiting for the sims 2!!!
