Yes, kids can die or , dissapere by letting their grades fall and being sent to millitary school, or adults can die in a hot tub by a fireplace. If the fireplace is lit, the hottub can catch fire. They can all starve.

They can die of old age, and pics have shown someone getting hit by lightning. (yes, I do believe lighning is in the sims 2)

Cooking and repair mishaps probably still occur, but I'm not with Maxis or anything.

There is no weather in The Sims 2 so probably no lightning either. Maxis has taken it out because it didn't work well. It may come in one of the expansions, but don't expect you will definitely have lightning (or rain, snow etc.) in The Sims

You can cureently die of old age, drowning, starvation, fire, electrocution (electronic devices), a really bad expirience, getting shot, and getting spooked by a spectre. There might be more but those are all I know of.

There will be no military school. Because in Sims 2, success in one life stage is so important in the next (and because passing on genes is so important) kids will not be taken to military school. However, there will still be a social worker to take away your baby if you do not care for it (maybe toddler too). Other than that, I believe it will be pretty much the same deaths as Sims 1 with the addition of age-related ones.

My sim-family wife was watching clouds too, and something fell from the sky and she died too. I looked the object closer, and it was a satellite. NOTE: when you sell it, you will have some extra simoleons - its price is 1999 simoleons :>
