if i have to reinstall my sims, do i have to reinstall all expantion packs too?

Yes, in the following order:

The Sims OR Sims Deluxe OR Sims Double Deluxe OR Sims Triple Deluxe

Livin Large (installed with any of the above Deluxe packages)

House Party (installed with Double and Triple Deluxe)

Hot Date (installed with Triple Deluxe)

Vacation/On Holiday

Unleashed

Superstar

Makin' Magic
