Why has Bonehilda stopped cleaning my house?

Because you have to knock on her door and wake her up so she can clean.

Let me explain a little more. Bonehilda comes out of the closet after I knock and goes into the bedroom or kitchen and just stands by the doorway and doesn't do anything. I have to send her back to her closet in order to pass by her.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong? My house is pretty large, could that be it?

If I were you, I would buy a new 'Bag-O-Bones' Skeleton Closet. This also happened to me once, and she just got stuck one day. Buying a new one was the only thing I could do.

I leave my Bonehilda out all the time. This way she sleeps when nothing needs cleaned and gets right to work when something is dirty. To keep Bonehilda out all the time knock to release her then while she is cleaning put walls up around her closet. She will be unable to return. Just make sure you have plenty of room to move around or she may get in your way.
