will you be able to use some of the expansion packs for the sims 2 that are from the sims 1?

If you mean "can I use Livin Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar or Makin Magic with The Sims 2?" then the answer is no.

However, there will be new expansion packs for the Sims 2, once it comes out! Just in case you still have money left after the first run..... :)

The Sims 1 and Sims 2 are like 2 totally different games. NOTHING on the Sims 1 will work with 2.
