If you have Makin' Magic, you can make an Age of Instant charm for kids to go into adults. The elixir of life (a bonus object you can buy) is basically a cut down version of this charm in reverse so you get younger (but not across the age categories so you can't turn an elder back into an adult for example).

you go down 6-7 days in your age group, correct that you wont change generation, if you drink the elixer and you are only 5-6 days living in your current age group then you go back to the first day of that age. this is not the case if you have been an age for more than 7 days, then u just go back 6-7 days. i cant remember exactly. you also get the elixer from asperation points that you build up. it is one of the things that you can buy with asperation points along with; love tub, money tree, some special sunnies (make you popular, i cant remember what they are called), and a few other things. I hope i didn't ramble too much babe
