You need to perform any combination of spells 15 times, not in one day though. The Computer will check periodically to see if you have performed 15 successful spells. If so, you will recieve a random crystal or growth.

i completed all the adult spells and charms in some bizarre order, and i got the blue crystal( it gave my guy hand buzzer-it's so funny) you can reuse the crystal so all your people can use the ability. it would be too hard and time-consuming to do the spells and charms in all the different orders, so i recommend doing the spells when you need them and remaking them when they run out.

You must cast either 15 spells (neighborhood) or 10 spells (Magic Town) within a 6 hour period (Sim-time, of course) to receive magic growth. Items will not repeat until you have one of each on your lot.
