What are knarld root ,Beanstalk and crystals and what do they do?

Beanstalks sometimes grow in your garden, mostly in magic town houses, and you climb up them and see a giant. crystals grow if your cast a lot of spells and you learn abilitys like teleport and levitate from them. knarled root is a bad luck thing.
