What is the exact amount of House Level floors for the sims 2

i think it is 3 floors a basement and a attic. i maybe wrong but thats what i have heard.

5 floors total. If you choose to put in a foundation, that will count as it's own floor. Basements are just floors that are under ground and attics are just the top floor. There is not actual "setting" for making them different from other floors other than imagination and different decorating.
