(if u wanna cheat)well the thing i do is go tew www.millenniumsims.com and then click on misc. and download the ''magic merror''. u can then put it in yer home or even in superstar town...... ne wayz u can do tuns of stuff if u use it ...... u will need tew use the mic a few times (or wut ever u are doing to gan yer fame) ....then go tew studio town and do yer thing infront of people the u will get a half a fame star..... then go home and use the ''magic merror'' and it wil say job(or somethin like that ) then click on it and choose how many stars u want (use as needed)

I struggle with this myself! I found that if you marry a superstar (ie- a somebody), then you don't need to bother with the other sim, just take the celeb sim down to Studio Town.
CAUTION: be careful, if you want the other sim who is not quite so famous to stay famous, you have to still take them down to Studio Town too! I make this mistake all the time!

There is an internal counter, it increments each time you do an activity. Once it goes over the next theshold, you get the next star or half a star.

Therefore, click about a bit on the props and stuff on the lots in Studio Town. Some won't be accessible to you until you get a few stars. You will get progress quicker by doing the activities correctly first time round. Be prepared to repeat activities as well to reach the threshold.

Well first you need to find an agent. You can find one by clicking on the brochure next to your newspaper by your trash can. Next you need to practice, if you have enough money then you should by a kareoke bar. Then you should practice at home a lot or until your confident. Then go to studio town to one of the places that has kareoke and sing while people are listening. Then if you keep on singing you'll eventually get upgraded. Then once you are upgraded you can do more things like modeling, music videos, and recording songs. But along the way you'll have to get cooking, carisma, and body but when you need them you'll be able to tell by clicking the "Job" botton and it will tell you how much you need. But before you get that far you have to start off simple, and kareoke is the perfect thing to do. I started my sim singing kareoke and now he's on the "who's hot" list on the brochure. Beleive me if you follow my advice it will work.
