There are several types:

love potion, monster potion, personality invert potion, "feeling awful" potion, "feeling refreshed" potion and the white potion.

White potion cures sick sims. Can only be made by a sick sim. Can get sick with the guinea pig.

wow, thanx. I had a very sick sims. I tried everything, nothing worked. I had to evacuate the family, and start a new life. :(
