I installed Sims 2 but it runs way too slow. I have enough memory and my computer is less than a year old. What do I check/do?

Click start-run then type dxdiag
this will tell you your machine specs & tell you if you have any errors with your direct x
just click on the tabs or next page to check for problems'
do you have the latest drivers for your g-card/or updates for your pc
