How do angle your camera so you look down on your sims?

Two ways:

Either top down view (only works in Build/Buy mode) or clever use of the mouse to get an "as near" bird's eye view.

press "t" on the keyboard and "t2 to take it off again.

you can hold ctrl to get a top down view in live mode or buy/build mode.

click tab. then move your mouse strait down.
