Well, actually now there is a patch from the official site, which you can download. It consists of many things, some are as following: now being able to change your toddler's clothes with the changing table, visitors not stealing your children while holding them, improved game performance with limited user accounts, and your sims not jumping when there are a lot of objects.

It isn't a patch for a patch, it's a cumulative update. It still patches the issues in the original patch plus extra things. Some might say it failed to patch the obvious things.
