Sometimes when I click Save, it just closes without saving anything. I have gotten into the habit of saving all the time, but it's starting to get frustrating, is there anything I can do to fix this??

All I can tell you is that I downloaded tons of objects for sims and hot date. When I tried to save hd it would crash and not save. I found out this was because I was using objects in there that went to expansions I didn't have. It will only save correctly if you are only using objects that belong. I reinstalled and started over because I didn't know how to delete items from buy menu. There may be another way if you ask others. Be very careful when downloading to make sure you can use them. Good luck!

I actually havent downloaded anything. I have created things with the Sims Creator, which came with my sims deluxe edition. Could that affect anything?

remove what you created than try
you most likey have a bad file
load
