mine didn't . she just cleaned as normal (just dishes). she is no longer a maid once she moves in. u will have 2 hire a new one.

NPCs don't do their job when you move them in, you have to get them a new one, but they retain the uniform from the job they were doing before you moved them in. Yes, even the burglar gives up his life of crime in this fashion.

How on earth did you marry the burglar? Mine never wake up in time to even meet him!

BTW I think you can probably get rid of the uniform by buying every day clothes and then clicking the dresser with "plan outfit", or is this not possible? The maid outfit is ugly with the guy.
