My operating system is Xp,graphics card sis and i have been trying to load the sims 2 Dvd edition for the past few days.But whenever it is about to load,it says that it cannot locate e cd rom and to disable cd/dvd emulation software.It won't load!

With the DVD edition... you can't just put it in your cd-rom... You need to have a dvd player/burner in your computer... it's different than the cd-rom... your cd-rom will not recognize the DVD edition... you should probably get the regular Sims 2
