When I tried to upload my story to thesims2.com, there was this msg: "Upload failed. Transfer timed out. Error code: 6 Transaction ID: 3719047311" The website says it could be a slow connection. But I am using 256K, is it still not fast enough?

256k is a hypothetical figure that in practice is unachievable. Downloads usually run at 10% of the speed and uploads 5% of the speed.

So you're only going to be uploading at about 12k a second anyway.

Oh i see... so is there anyway to solve this problem? What kind of connections are you guys using?

Be advised that it may be timing out inadvertedly on Maxis' end, for reasons including but not necessarily limited to: heavy traffic, copious uploading/downloading from other users, congestion elsewhere on the internet and also because its the Xmas holidays and more people at home = more people online than usual :)

i have the same problem where it says the operation has timed out and i can NEVER upload lots is there something i can do so i can, even tho there are probably a lot of people uploading to the site?
