My sims2 game was working fine on my xp computer until we moved it upstairs,everytime it trys to load up it now says unspecified error and stops loading,could this be due to firewalls or virus software on my computer,if so how can i fix it please?

Well I would be surprised if a jaunt up the stairs had that much of an effect on your system.

If it is much colder/hotter upstairs than it was downstairs, then allow the system to adjust to room temperature, for the same reasons that you don't immediately watch a video five minutes after getting the unit out the car.
