I have that "component transfer error" problem, but in Control Panel it says I do have The Sims Deluxe Edition installed. When AutoPlay pops up, though, it says Install where it should say play. The reason about Control Panel might be that some of the...

...files are still on my computer. I can't help that though, because it won't let me delete them. It says that they are readme files. I have tried everything! I have tried to clean my CD, uninstall from Control Panel, but none of them work!!!!!!!!!!!

when autoplay comes up click on install if it wants to install again let it that might work
