i have just got TS2U and when i try to install it, it keeps stopping at 78%!i put disk 2 in and it still didnt work!

Clean the discs.
Observe for scratches, debris, foreign objects, etc on the CD. Return to place of purchase.

Otherwise, return to purchaser for refund/exchange.

I don't know if this applies but when I installed the Sims 1, my installation was stopped at a certain percent for something like 6 hours.. I tried restarting the installation a couple times and eventually just let it sit overnight and in the morning it had finished. You might try letting the installation sit overnight with no other programs running.

You got further than I did. Mine stopped at 67% of the installation process. I'll check it for scratches and stuff.
