im really stupid when it comes to computers. ive downloaded some things and cant figure out how to get them into my game. so far i have extracted the files to\maxis\the sims\gamedata\objects but nothing has come up into my game. I need a really easy guide

Put them in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads folder instead, not the gamedata folder.

Put the EXTRACTED files under C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads. Putting the unzipped file will do nothing for you.

go 2 .download.com an srch winzip. Download it or buy it. Extract the the files to maxis\thesims\downloads

(TSZ Edit: Winzip is shareware, please either respect the shareware after 30 days and either pay for it or use another unzipping program).

Again, I have to recommend Cheetah's Add-On-Handler..available right here...I have NEVER known how to place my downloaded files myself..Now, I just Download the files I want, they go right to Just zip it...it opens, I click the item twice quickly to unzip it..then drag it to the Add on Handler and it takes it from there.
