Hi, my house is worth about 60k now, should I still move in to the mansion? I mean, where would the extra 10k go? And is the mansion better than my house? I'm curious to find out =P

Well it's your game. if you want to move into the mansion, move into the mansion, it makes no difference to the gameplay.
But you can still get into the mansion without taking a family there. Just click on the house in the Neighbourhood view.

Just Evict Your Family But Don't Demolish The House then if u dont like the mansion move back!

If the mansion is empty you might want to just stick with your own house unless you can put everything you need in the mansion without making it too expensive.

Also by the way the extra 10K would show up as spendable money when you get into the house.
