I think it is the same Maxis havent said that it isnt.

For nightlife, the money cheat is still going to be the same for The Sims 2: motherlode 50,000 and kaching 1,000.

instead of writing it over and over you can expand it (type expand) write it once and keep pressing up, enter, up, enter, and so on. Quick bucks!
motherlode = $50,000
kaching = $1,000
