is there a better and quicker way to get the crystals than the casting all the spells in six hours?

I don't remember my sims casting the spells in six hours but I still got crystals. I still don't know if it means six SIM hours [which is pretty impossible] or six REAL hours, which is very easy because that's like a week in Sim time.

I got all the cristals even if I didnt cast them all Within 6 hours.... Just cast a lot of spells. (If you get the purple cristal (Teleport) the game will count that as a spell so you can use that....)

probs eh, cause unless you download them you can't get them on a normal residential lot. you can download the crystals from just one of those sims downloadable objects sites... google it, you should find it easliy..
