Lately, whenever I invite over a sim coming from a family with a child, they bring the child with them, often causing them to leave right after being greeted because it's past the child's bedtime. What causes this and/or how can I keep it from happening?

Because it goes 8pm and that's curfew time in Sims world.

Therefore the solution is bring them all over earlier or keep them busy.

If the child's already over and the parent comes to collect, ignore the parent and the child will stay all night if needs be. No sleepover though.

The only way the child will stay at home is if there is another adult at the home. Also, if you're quick enough, you can goodbye the child before the parent tries to leave.

Put move_objects on and delete the child.
