I've followed the instructions for planting elderberries - bought the plant and the "As the plot thickens" soil, but I still can't get my sim to plant it - I just get the option to "go here". Am I doing something wrong?

Did you buy "Elderberries" in Magic Town or an "Elderberry Sprig"? You can only plant a sprig, you can't buy a bunch of elderberries and plant them. Also, if you have a nectar press you can make elderberry nectar and trade it to apothecary todd for a rubber chicken!

I bought a sprig - well, two actually, also carrot seeds and a grape vine. Can't plant any of them!

You can't plant carrot seeds in an "As the Plot Thickens" plot, only vines. Carrot seeds must be planted in an "Insta-Plot Victory Garden." If you have a problem planting your sprig, you might just have a bug.

go to plants and there will be two little soil things.pick the left one.then you should be able to plant it.
