When playing the game, it has all the sudden began to skip and be choppy? I have had the Sime Deluxe version for at least 6 months and it has neer done this before? What could have changed, or what can I do to help it run smoother?

It could possibly be another application running at the same time of the sims.
Or it could be a dodgy download for the game.
