I have a quite a few questions but let me start with this one I recently just started playing the sims 1 and i am wondering If you go on vacation do you have to come home before you go to work and does this apply to going downtown or any place at all ?

For Vacation you don't have to go to work at all, but if you want to go to work you have to come home off the holiday and basically return to normal life.

Downtown you won't be able to stay long enough to worry about it, whereas you can stay for, well, virtually forever on Vacation Island.

On sims 1. it doesn't matter because it comes up with a message that says it will leave the house in current condition
