I just bought the Sims 2 University and when I tried to install it, it got to 65% and a box popped up that sayed TSData\Res\userData\Thumbnails\CasThumbnails from the media. And it says retry or cancel.

Is the installation disk scratched or dirty? Try ejecting the cd, cleaning it, and then putting it back and clicking retry, worked for me when something similar happened with one of the sims 1 expansion packs.
