Not only do I get an error while updating with Sims 2 Disc 4, I had the same probl;em while installing Sims 2 patches! What's going on? I just bought my Sims University and I'm sooooo psyche to play and now this happen!

Anti Virus packages are known to cause this behaviour; Panda definitely causes this.

I have the exact same problem. I turned off my Anti-Virus (Norton), the fire-wall, and some processes in XP, and it still doesnt patch/update when I try to install University (or any other EP) I can just say Im working on the problem. Any help most welcome.
