My game shows all text in German! Is there a way to change it to show in english, or am I stuck?

There's probably a language setting somewhere, but I don't know where it is. Did you get your game in Germany?

On install it usually asks what language you want it installed in, default being the language of the country you got it in. And quite often, at least on the expansion packs, that's the only language it comes in!

And yes I also remember toggling the language setting after it's been installed but I did that with a programme that was designed to manage several neighbourhoods at the same time, up to 10, not with the game itself. I forgot the name of it, but it'll have been something like neighbourhood manager or something.

More seriously, do be careful when installing expansion packs. I tried mixing a Russian and German expansion pack - basis and it wouldn't show any text anymore at all, only letters that didn't mean anything. The international compability of the expansion packs is zero.

Anyway, at least you'll learn German! :p
