which file holds the faces in "create a family"

In the create a family, there are faces that can be used to make your sims. which files in the sims2 folder actually holds those faces? How can you view those faces. In the sims2 clean installer, sometimes you can see some or all of the content that you click on and go through. Is there a way to actually view those faces loaded onto your sims2 game? How could I save those sims if I were to install another expansion pack? The last expansion pack wiped out all of my sims. So the question is which files hold the sim faces that is used within the sims game that is used in the "create a family" that is used to create your own custom sims that is used in the game.

you have to save the entire folder in this path: C:/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2. To save the sims and your games. Is this your problem?
