I think what they want to know is why does their relationship stop when one becomes an adult. Well, the only reason I can think of is that an adult should not date a teenager so they have the game programmed where when one grows up the other has to grow up to continue the relationship because it would be in bad taste and set a bad example for the relationship to continue with one still being a minor. Just my guess.

Okay, so your playing as your person and your a teen and she/he is a teen, and your person turns into a adult, save the game and go to the little city or w/e and find where that sim lives, and play as them till she/he becomes an adult, the reason she/he doesnt turn into an adult is because no one is playing as that person..
