Help Plz! I get the error The application has crashed. The application will now terminate. with a ok button ever time i try to load the creat a family part of the game.

my pc is a P4 2.8 dual core with 1gig of ram and a evga 6800GT 256 with a 250gig hd and all the lates drivers and Xp updates. i have formated xp 3 times and instaled the game many times with no luck,,,,,,

Plz help me. this is buging mespent a week so far trying to figurout what is wrong. also i have tryed to update the game too and the update crashes ever time with a error message. i have bought the dvd version from staples.....

I get that when I try and load Pleasantview cos my computer ****ed itself up >:(
