Will someone please tell me how to open these files once I download them? Is there a trick to this? Some formats are not recognized on my PC so I download a file & it still won't work. Please tell me.

When I download from the Sims2online website it automatically downloads the files where they need to go. But from here it does not. The Sims Zone has some GREAT items to download and i want to use them. Where does it go when you unzip a file? How can I place it in the correct directory?

You need to specify where the zip files go when you unzip them. Just choose "unzip here" so that they are unzipped right in the folder with the downloaded files. Once you have them, copy the files to the download folder in My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads.
