If I coppy my Sims 2 folder and burn it to a disk then place the burnet file on a other computer and replace it with the Sims 2 folder in the EA games folder on the other computer will I get my families and houses on the other computer?

Just make sure you also copy The Sims 2 folder in My Documents. The path is, My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2. That is where all the game files (saved families, neighborhoods,etc) are.
