Is there anywhere to get a copy of which original game files go into each catagory? I think I moved one into the wrong file--my game won't play now!

No, there's no list of the directory structure of all the files (if that's what you mean) which The Sims uses.

If you know which file you moved (the filename), it should be possible for others to tell you where the file should be. Otherwise, unfortunately all that can be done is reinstalling the game I think. Of course if you know what file you moved, and where from, then just moving it back could work.
