There will be only a community area in the game originally, which is a bit of a mix of the Hot Date downtown and the Unleashed extended neighborhood. You won't be able to go on holiday, follow your Sims to work or perform Magic with your Sims.

you can own two houses. one original one (as in ts1) and one as a vacation/cottage home that you visit on weekends or whenever
