Will Maxis release a demo of TS2(besides The Body Shop) in the summer or something?

Simple answer: no, they won't. They will be releasing extra content packs for Body Shop, but other than that, no. Could you imagine a demo of the Sims 1? It's not really the sort of game you can make a demo of without giving away too much.
