If a Sim who owns a dog goes on vacation and his dog goes with him, how can the Sim feed the dog? I've tried almost everything, but have been unable to find food for pets at vacation sites.

In order to feed pets on Vacation, you must go into vacation island build mode first and add pet dishes and beds, etc. to the various vacation sites. You can then take your pets to the locations you updated.
