Is Deluxe Edition and livinlarge basicly the same thing ?

basicly. But deluxe has creator and livin large and the sims.

Deluxe is the original game plus the first expansion pack. It also gives you the Sims Creator.

You do not need to buy Livin' Large/Livin' It Up separately if you buy Deluxe (or Double Deluxe).

Likewise if you buy Double Deluxe, you do not need to buy Livin' Large/Livin' It Up and/or House Party separately.
